How much do I have to practice?

You should practice until you are succesful!! However, if you practice 
@30min. a day and come back to what you are studying, you usually learn it 
using less time over a period. Try it!!

What if I miss an after school rehearsal?

Absences from rehearsals are excused if you are ill, absent from school, or 
have cleared another extra-curricular activity ahead of time. EXCUSES NEED TO 
BE IN WRITING!!!

What if I miss a performance?

Absences from performances are only excused for illness or if PRE-APPROVED 
AND IN WRITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
Performances are considered exams for us and others are depending on you!!  
Check our schedule now so you do not have conflicts later!!

What is our uniform?

During football season we wear our band shirt and blue jeans.  Christmas and 
spring concerts will be in dress-up clothes.  Contest attire will be black 
shirts, black pants or long skirt, black socks and dark dress shoes.

What do I need in class?

EVERYDAY you need your instrument, a pencil, and your music. EVERYDAY!!

How do I keep up with my instrument?

Your instrument must have your name on the OUTSIDE of the case. That way we 
can help you identify it. Place your instrument in the same slot everyday.  
Write down your serial number and keep it at home. We will also keep a 
record 
of it. CLEAN YOUR INSTRUMENT! It keeps the band hall from being too 
stinky!!

How much does 7th grade band cost?

We have a $20 band fee for a Band Shirt and the composite band picture on 
the 
wall.  The other cost will be for reeds and valve oil. 
We take a trip in the spring which hopefully will be covered by our express 
fundraiser
