I was born in Dallas and moved to Michigan as a toddler and lived there for
about 18 years. I went to Hope College in Michigan for one year and then
Texas A&M University for three years where I earned a Bachelor of Science in
Biology and a teaching certificate. I finished my Masters of Education in
Instructional Technology at Sam Houston State University August, 2008. I
taught Biology and Physical Science at Elsik High School in Alief for
four years then moved to San Diego and Okinawa, Japan due to my husband's job
as a physician with the Navy. My 'job' for about 10 years was raising my three
daughters. My oldest daughter recently graduated from Texas A&M and is married
to another Aggie graduate. My two younger girls are now attending Texas A&M.
After my husband finished his obligation with the Navy we settled down in
Northampton where my daughters, husband and I have lived for the past thirteen
years. I started teaching 7th grade science at Hildebrandt ten and a half
years ago and look forward to a challenging but interesting and fun-filled year.
