Do I need my textbook?

I am hoping that the answer to this question is no, but we are not sure yet.  
The current plan is to have you take home your science book.  I will keep a 
set of science books in my classroom for us to use everyday.  There is a 
possibility that this will change, but for now I would like you to take your 
book home and put it in a safe place for you to use on your homework.  If I 
need you to bring it back, I will let you know.  Also, you will be receiving 
a subscription to an online version of our science textbook.  The online 
version includes games and activities as well as every page of your science 
book, you will love this site!

Where do I sit?

The classroom has a seating chart, if you don't remember check the 
seating chart.  Sometimes during the year, we will change the seating 
chart together.  In lab, unless I tell you otherwise, you may pick 
your partner.  If the person you choose to work with and you cannot 
work together without talking (socializing), you will be asked to 
pick a new partner.

How do I earn Crannie Tickets?

You can earn tickets many ways:
     1.  Wearing spirit colors on Friday (Blue jeans do not count) 
         Double points if Mrs. Crannie doesn't wear spirit colors!
     2.  Doing something nice for someone else.
     3.  Getting caught being good.
     4.  Sometimes Mrs. Crannie will give out tickets to everyone who 
         completes their homework.
     5.  Save your bathroom passes and Mrs. Crannie will buy them 
         back at the end of the six weeks.
     6.  Whatever Mrs. Crannie decides, be good, do your work and you 
         never know when you might get a ticket!

How Can I spend my tickets?

There are many things to purchase using your tickets.  Mrs. Crannie has a 
list hanging in her classroom.  The list includes some really awesome things 
like homework pass, restroom pass, sit with a friend for a day, bonus points 
on a quiz or test, replace a lost handout and many other things!

May I use the bathroom?

As long as I am not in the middle of teaching the class, and I am not 
talking to the class, you may use the restroom. Bring me your colored 
passes for the current six weeks and I will sign it.  Take the pass 
hanging by the door and you have 3 minutes.

I am out of bathroom passes, my I use the restroom?

No, If you have used all of your bathroom passes, then you may not 
leave the room.  Plan ahead and don't waste your passes.  You can always buy 
another bathroom pass with two tickets.

Yes,  The pass that you have is for 3 minutes, tell me where you are 
going, take the correct pass hanging by the door and go quickly.

May I work on homework from another class or read a book in your class

NO, NO,  NO!  Science class is science class, There will not be very 
many times that you have nothing to do, but if it happens you are 
expected to work on science.  Unless of course, Mrs. Crannie told you 
that you could work on other assignments when you were done with your 
science.  If you owe Mrs. Crannie past due work, you must complete 
that before you do anything else.
