Study SkillsGetting Organized is Your Ticket to Success
KEEP AN ORGANIZED BINDER Use a different section in your notebook for each class and keep important information about each class in the section for that class.
USE A STUDENT PLANNER Use it to keep track of when things are due. Take it to every class and copy the agenda and homework assignments for that day.
BE SURE TO UNDERSTAND YOUR ASSIGNMENTS If you have a question, ASK. Other students may have a similar question.
MAKE TIME FOR HOMEWORK Set up a special time each day. Find a quiet place to work and avoid distractions such as T.V. and phone calls.
PREPARE THE NIGHT BEFORE This way you will not feel pressured in the morning.
* Pack your backpack after you finish your homework *Get your clothes ready before you go to bed
BREAK BIG PROJECTS INTO SMALLER ONES It will be easier to complete a project or long assignment by completing one step at a time. For example, for a research project, collect information one week, take notes the next, and begin writing the first copy the next. |
