Dance hours: PLEASE NOTE THAT TIMES ARE DIFFERENT FROM LAST YEAR!
6th grade: 6:30 – 8:00 pm
7th grade: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
8th grade: 8:00 – 9:30 pm

please have your Hopewell ID with approved dance sticker with you.
To obtain a sticker, you should HAVE THIS FORM WITH YOU WHEN YOU PURCHASE
YOUR STICKER AT LUNCH.
SORRY, BUT THERE ARE NO STICKERS SOLD AT THE DOOR. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM
LAST YEAR. You must present your current Hopewell ID with a sticker at the
drop-off line to be allowed into the dance and receive a bracelet.
only current Hopewell students may attend the dance.
Please note that students must attend school on Friday in order to
be at the dance. If a student is suspended or has been assigned In School
Suspension on the day of the dance the student may not attend the dance.
Please do not bring IPods, or other valuable personal
items to the dance. Purses and cameras will be the responsibility of the
student. No backpacks will be allowed into the dance.
Please remember dancing should be appropriate for a middle school
setting and if a chaperone suggests a different type of dancing, you must
respect and honor the request.
For everyone’s safety, do not attempt back flips or other similar
dance moves.
Shoes must be worn at all times.
Food and drinks are not allowed in the dance area.
Running, jumping, or standing on furniture is not permitted at the
dance.
Normal school dress code is enforced at all dances. This includes no
spaghetti straps and strapless shirts. Midsections must be covered.
Students may not enter the stage area for safety reasons; if a
student would like to request a song there will be a designated area for
this.
Please treat others as you would like to be treated. Treat property
with respect as well.
***We are trying to avoid long lines at pick up, so please make sure all
students are picked up promptly. Students picked up late may not be allowed
to attend the next dance.***

HOPEWELL PTA DANCE AGREEMENT
To promote a healthy, safe, and enjoyable evening for all students, the
following procedures will be in place for all PTA sponsored dances at
Hopewell Middle School. Please be sure you have read, understood and signed
this agreement so you may attend a dance at Hopewell. Hopewell Middle School
PTA encourages families to discuss these rules together with their students
and retain a copy of this document for future reference. This dance contract
is for students who are currently attending Hopewell Middle School. The
contract must be filled out completely and returned to school prior to
attending a dance.
This form must be RETURNED SIGNED BY PARENT AND STUDENT in order to purchase
a dance sticker from the PTA or to enter a PTA-sponsored Hopewell Middle
School dance . (Please note: PTA is unable to make exceptions to this rule).
STUDENT AGREEMENT
• I understand dances are a PTA-sponsored event and a privilege.
• I understand all school rules will apply during the dance.
• I agree to abide by dance procedures outlined in the student
Hopewell Middle School Dance policies and guidelines which are listed on the
back of this document.
• I agree to remain tobacco, drug and alcohol free for these events.
If I fail to comply with these rules, I will become ineligible for
admittance to the dance and may face further disciplinary procedures as well
as removal from the dance.
