SAT/College Board
Scholastic Aptitude Test � many colleges require SAT scores as part of their
admissions requirement. IT covers 3 areas � Critical Reading, Mathematics, &
a Test of Standard Written English
This Test is given 7 times a year.
The admission score varies among colleges.

ACT
American College Testing Program � many colleges require ACT scores as a part
of their admissions requirement. The ACT assessment covers four subject
areas � English Mathematics, Reading, Natural Science, Writing (optional)

There are several advantages to taking these tests during the junior year
and retesting in the senior year... 1. Schools can see positive changes in
your testing. 2. College readiness standards can be employed with the
junior year results to give you a virtual ROAD MAP for what you need to
improve your score. 3. Those who took the ACT as Juniors this last year
averaged a 21.5, as compared to those who took it only as seniors, 19.7.
