READING FAMILIES--We have started reading families in language arts. This is
the time where Mrs. V and I work with very small groups of children. While
the other students are working in learning stations.
Please check the homework folder for this weeks(11-2-6-09)language arts pea
homework.
SHOEBOX HOLIDAY UPDATE--DEADLINE FOR ITEMS TO BE SENT TO SCHOOL IS NOV. 13TH.
Addresses continue to come in almost on a daily basis. If you know of anyone,
please turn in their names.
SHOEBOX HOLIDAY--PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide items from the list we sent home in your child's folder this
past week. If you need another one, let us know. Items must be to school by
Nov. 13th. Try to get travel size items if possible if you are sending
personal hygiene items.
2. To contact family, friends, business contacts to see if they would willing
to provide items, sponsor a box, or make a cash donation. These forms were
found in the packet we sent home.
3. To help pack boxes--Nov. 16th starting at 9:30 am. The kindergarten class
will also help pack then. We will have a parent packing time Monday, Nov.
16th at 6:30 pm. If we do not finish then we will pack Thursday morning of
that week. If you are willing to write come areas of the customs labels before
hand, let me know. Anything we can do before hand just helps make the packing
go smoother.
