As Salaamu Alaikum Wa rehamatullahi Wa Barakatuhu!!
Dear ISI Students, Parents, Staff and Community Members:
SACS Quality Assurance Review Team awarded the Accreditation to ISI on Friday May 09, 2008. This
makes ISI an Accredited College Preparatory School.
The Quality Assurance Review team evaluated the school's adherence to the standards, assessed the
effectiveness of the school's improvement efforts, reviewed performance results and how those
results were used for informed improvement efforts. While on site, the Quality Assurance Review
Team conducted interviews with School Advisory Board, Administration, Faculty, Parents and Students.
They also visited classrooms, and collected & examined evidence. The Quality Assurance Review team
was led by an AdvancED certified team chair who was appointed to ISI by the SACS CASI State Office.
At ISI, we have an ongoing commitment to develop committed lifelong-learning Muslims with strong
character and spirituality, who are contributing citizens and community leaders. This accreditation
is a validation of our efforts to accomplish one of the school's strategic goals. We are very proud
of the commitment from our dedicated Staff and Parents for achieving this high standard.
Wasalaamu Alaikum,
School Advisory Board

Allah SWT promises in the Holy Quran with these words to the Believers:
Surah Ash-Sharh (94): Solace, Consolation, Relief
1. Have We not expanded thee thy breast?
2. And removed from thee thy burden
3. The which did gall thy back?-
4. And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
5. So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
6. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.
7. Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard,
8. And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.
Subhan Allah, how pertinent and significant for ISI.
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah.
Praise and thanks to Allah for His special Mercy on us for kindly granting ISI accreditation. Of
course it would not be possible without the 2 year-long concerted effort of the community,
especially Dr. Ghazali, Sr. Malika Abdul Jami, the school board members, parents, teachers and
staff, students, volunteers and all the well-wishers. My sincere thanks to each and every one of
you. Jazakum Allah Khairan.
With Profound Regards,

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu!
Dear Respected ISI Parents and Community members,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of Health and Eemaan.
Alhmdulillah!! As most of you know, ISI was commended in March 2007 for Candidacy for
Accreditation
with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In order to achieve quality
standards, we have engaged our school in a continuous process of improvement. One of the
requirements for the accreditation process is to involve and educate of the parents and the
community members about the accreditation and quality improvement plans.
Several parents have inquired about accreditation. Below are links to the websites, which contain
answers to the question listed below.
1. What is Accreditation?
2. What are the benefits of accreditation?
3. How does accreditation benefit students?
4. How do schools earn accreditation?
5. What is parent's role in accreditation?
6. Do I have a role in accreditation?
7. What does accreditation mean to me as a parent?
8. What are the benefits to my children attending an accredited school?
9. How can I find out more about accreditation?

Bismillahi Rahmaanir Raheem.
Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose
hope is
in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah (Surah Al-Ahzab:V21)
Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.
I am pleased to announce that last week Islamic School of Irving (ISI), Irving, TX has been
commended for Candidacy for Accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
(SACS)! Alhamdulillah!
ISI applied for candidacy in February 2007. We had our first readiness visit two weeks back from
the
SACS representative and upon his recommendation ISI has been able to reach its first milestone!
For those who are familiar with the process, this means we will receive formal visitations from
SACS
Review Committee members for over period of two years and by compliance with SACS standards and
maintain continuous improvement process and quality assurance, we will then be approved for
accreditation. Everyone at our school is very excited about this milestone for our (almost) 10
year
old institution.
Insha Allah we make a collective prayer to look forward to all Islamic schools becoming
accredited
in the coming years!
Thanks for a great partnership.
Best Regards,
Shahnaz Chowdhury
