We are delighted to inform you that our
school has recently acquired a new learning tool for enrichment that your
child will be able to use both at home and during school called Renzulli
Learning. This is an exciting new resource for providing academic challenge.
Renzulli Learning is based on almost 30 years of research designed to help
students learn more about their own interests and talents. Renzulli Learning
searches through thousands of pre-screened resources on the web and within the
Renzulli Learning database, to find enriching, challenging opportunities for
all students in their specific areas of interest and choice.
Your child will register for Renzulli
Learning during school and begin to use the system while in school. Students
first answer a series of questions about their interests and the ways they
like to learn. Using that information, Renzulli Learning provides a written
profile that summarizes your child’s talents, interests and preferred learning
styles. Then, a series of interesting and challenging enrichment activities
are specially selected for your child to explore. Over 15,000 activities are
currently logged into the system and each of these was carefully searched and
found to be appropriate for your child to use. The Renzulli Learning System
will continue to add new resources for your child each month so there will
always be new and exciting resources.
One of the best features about Renzulli
Learning is that you can view your child’s profile and enrichment activities.
There are also articles selected just for parents, as well as helpful links to
web sites for parents. We encourage you to talk to your child about his/her
interests and use this as an opportunity to support your child’s pursuit of
these interests and talents both at home and in school. Many parents have
found Renzulli Learning to be an outstanding asset for homework assignments as
well as for enrichment activities at home and during school.

enrichment activities. You will need your child’s Username and Password that
he or she uses at school, so please ask him or her for that information. Once
you have accessed the web site, please click on the Parent Site image, and
click below where it saysregister here for the first time. You will
then be asked for your child’s Username and Password.
