On behalf
of the Walsh PTA, I would like to welcome all of our families back for the 2011-2012
school year!  We are very excited about
this coming year.  PTA has been busy
planning our family nights, programs for both parents and students.  Events like these help foster a sense of
community and help make Walsh Middle School feel like home.<o:p></o:p></w:wrap>

As parents, it is
extremely important to be involved in our children’s education.  PTA is a vital link between home, school and
community.  It is the largest child
advocacy volunteer group in America and speaks on behalf of children who cannot
affect change for themselves.  The PTA’s
budget is based solely on membership dues, school-wide fundraisers and
tax-deductible donations.  I encourage
you to become an active participant in our school and community by becoming a
member of Walsh PTA!  Membership in PTA
allows parents to have a stronger voice in how PTA funds are allocated, what
kinds of fundraisers and events are planned and how to best support our
school.  Another benefit of PTA
membership comes in the form of discounts from places such as Sea World, Six
Flags, Dell and Southwest Airlines, just to name a few!  Please consider joining PTA today!<o:p></o:p>

We are always in need of
volunteers on many levels.  We have
volunteer opportunities for every time and commitment level – there is always
something to fit your schedule!  Please
check out the volunteer form to see what best fit your needs!<o:p></o:p>

With your time, talent
and monetary support, we can accomplish great things for the students, teachers
and families of Walsh Middle School.  In
addition, we as a PTA help maintain the district’s Clothes Closet for children
in need and coordinate the local Reflections contest for our students. <o:p></o:p>
 We invite you to become a part of something
wonderful!  Together, we can make this
year even better!!  Please take some time
