About The Teacher

I am looking forward to having your child in my class this year at 
Jollyville! This will be my twentieth year of teaching Kindergarten.  I 
received my undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and 
a Masters of Education from Texas State University in San Marcos. I have 
been married to Robert for 26 years, and I also have two sons.  William is 
twenty three and is a graduate of Texas Tech University, and is 
employed in Dallas. Anthony is 21 and is a junior at 
Texas A&M University.  We also have two English Bulldogs named Jack and 
Penny.  The children will probably hear a lot about the dogs since I will 
use them as a topic for my writing mini lessons.

I encourage you to call, email or talk with me if you have any questions 
about your child and how he/she is doing in school.  Your child will be more 
successful if there is communication between home and school, so please 
don’t hesitate to contact me. My planning time is from 12:55-1:45 p.m. 
Monday-Friday. These are usually the best times to reach me, and, of course, 
after school.
I am excited about this school year and I look forward to getting to know 
you and your child!
