Brown, Director of Doucette Library of Teaching Resources at the University of Calgary, offers links to many different lists, arranged by year and by category, of great books for children. Notable Children's Books: The Association for Library Service to Children's (American Library Association) lists of notable children's books for each year offer excellent reading suggestions arranged by age interest. ON-LION for Kids: New York Public Library's collection of links for children. Also contains useful information for parents on public use of the Internet, etc. TLA - The Texas Bluebonnet Award: Here you can learn the history and purpose of the Texas Bluebonnet Awards as well as see the list of this year's Texas Bluebonnet Award nominees, a list of last year's nominees, and the list of previous winners. TLA - The 2 by 2 List: Here is a list of 20 of the best new books for children from 2 years old to 2nd grade. This new program is from the Children's Round Table division of Texas Library Association.
