Homework will be sent home on Thursdays and expected to be returned the next
Thursday. This way, families can use the weekends for homework if
necessary. I know that weekdays are hectic.
First graders will be expected to complete 20 minutes of reading every
night. This is essential to their success this year. In addition to the
reading, homework packets will be sent--10 minutes each night should be
spent on this.
Approximately once a month, a family project will be sent home. Families
should complete this together and will have about 2 weeks to complete.
Homework packets will not be sent home the first few weeks of school. You
will receive the first family project in September.
