What should I do with their art when it comes home?
There are quite a few choices of what to do with your child's art. They are highly encouraged here at school to start/keep a portfolio (a place to keep their art). Portfolios allow a student to see improvement from year to year and hopefully remember what they have learned in the past. Art can also be put on display. It can be as simple as putting it on the fridge to as fancy as getting it matted and framed (a great encouragement to your child). A few students might even be able to sell their art ... yes, even at the elementary level. Students have sold their art right off the walls of the school without even trying! Don't forget to photograph all art that is sold or sent off to grandma in Michigan. That way it can be put in a portfolio even though the original is gone.Back to Top
