Dear Parents,
My name is Greta Burnikel, and I will be your child’s first grade
teacher. I’m very excited to begin my third year at Jollyville Elementary
as well as creating a relationship with you and your child. You will be
amazed at the academic growth your child will make throughout the school
year. This is one reason why I love teaching first grade.
My teaching experience consists of 12 years as a grade one teacher.
I taught in Bismarck, ND for 4 years and from there I moved abroad and
taught in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 5 years. I was born and raised in North Dakota
which is where I like to spend some of my summer time visiting family and
friends. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach abroad where I
experienced many cultures through my extensive travels and the diversity of
my student population.
Your child is going to have a year filled with many
accomplishments. The teamwork between parent, teacher, and student is
critical to the success of our children. Let's work together to make this
year fantastic! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to
