About The Teacher
Dear Parents, My name is Greta Burnikel, and I will be your child’s first grade teacher. I’m very excited to begin my third year at Jollyville Elementary as well as creating a relationship with you and your child. You will be amazed at the academic growth your child will make throughout the school year. This is one reason why I love teaching first grade. My teaching experience consists of 12 years as a grade one teacher. I taught in Bismarck, ND for 4 years and from there I moved abroad and taught in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 5 years. I was born and raised in North Dakota which is where I like to spend some of my summer time visiting family and friends. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach abroad where I experienced many cultures through my extensive travels and the diversity of my student population. Your child is going to have a year filled with many accomplishments. The teamwork between parent, teacher, and student is critical to the success of our children.
