About The Teacher
I am very pleased to have your child in my class this year. I know that it will be a great year full of learning and growth. This will be my fifteenth year of teaching and my ninth year of teaching Kindergarten at Jollyville. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin many years ago--go Horns! I have taught grades Kindergarten through grade 3 and Kindergarten is my very favorite grade to teach. The children are so excited about learning and it is a joy to come to work every day. I am married and have two sons. My oldest Nick is 12 years old and he attended Jollyville from Kindergarten through fifth grade. He attends Deerpark Middle School. My youngest Jacob is 6 and he will be in First grade at Jollyville this year. When I am not teaching I am usually carting my children to all their various activities. Any extra time I have I spend reading. I love to read and am very excited to share my love of reading with my students! I have four dogs--two of which are still in the puppy stage and they provide me with many ideas for sharing and writing stories with the class. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with my new kiddos this year!
