I am so excited to begin a new year in First Grade with you! With seven years
of teaching experience at the kindergarten level and 4 years in first grade,
this will be my twelfth year to teach.
I am originally from New Orleans but moved to Austin after college so that
my husband could pursue a graduate degree at UT. We liked it here so much,
we could never bring ourselves to leave.
My husband and I are the proud parents of two great children. Madison is 12
years old and will be a seventh grader at Canyon Vista Middle School this
year. My son, Benjamin is 9 years old and will be in the Fourth Grade this year.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family most. My husband is a Senior
Creative Director for a local advertising firm and my kids are always ready
for adventure. We spend a lot of time together playing games, reading books
and giggling at each other. There is never a dull moment.
I’m sure we’re going to have a great year together. I look forward to
working with you to ensure that your child gets the absolute most out of
this school year. I know what a treasure your child is and I look forward to
communicating with you regularly through emails, newsletters, phone calls,
notes home and this Web site. My planning time is 9:10-10:00 M-Th and 10:00-
10:45 on Fridays. I happily maintain an open door policy, so please feel free
to contact me with any concerns you have. I anticipate many opportunities
for you to get involved in your child’s education this year. We are going to
have a great time!
