About The Teacher

I am really excited about being your child’s second grade teacher. I am
honored to be working with your children. Working as a team with you and
your child, I know we will have a successful year. I am available for
discussions about your child. And I am open to suggestions you might have.
I am committed to making this a challenging and enjoyable year. I believe
that school should be a safe, exciting, and fun place to learn.

I was born and raised in Austin. I have two older sisters. I am lucky to
have my parents and sisters close to me. I have an 13 year son, Alex. He
will be in 8th grade at Canyon Vista. Alex and I have two dogs, Cookie and
Rocket.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Archaeology in 1991 from
the University of Texas at Austin. For three years, I worked in archaeology
around Central Texas and in Belize. In 1997, I started working at St. Louis
Child Development Center. I taught 4 and 5 year olds for 5 years. I loved
it so much that I decided to get my teaching certification from UT. I
finished in December 2003. This is my 5th year teaching. I am looking
forward to working with you and your children.
Thank you for trusting me with your precious children.
