I came to the teaching profession later in life. I first became interested in
education when my son was in elementary school. I was very active in his
school. As I worked with the children, teachers, and community, I began to
realize that teaching was a one of a kind opportunity to touch the lives of
young people and help prepare them for a successful future.
I started my career here at Laurel Mountain in 2004. This will be my eighth
year at LME. I love teaching 4th grade! The curriculum is exciting and
children this age are fabulous creatures. They are full of wonder, wisdom,
and energy. There is never a dull moment!
When I am not at school I spend my time with my son, husband, friends, and
family. I enjoy being outdoors, especially hiking and exploring nature. I am
also somewhat of a plant fanatic! My plants are like pets to me. I find our
world amazing and hope to pass that excitement on to your children.
We the Marvels of Mrs. McCullough’s 4th grade class pledge to make friends,
show our skills, and get a good education. Most importantly, we will show our
PRIDE. The way we will achieve our goals is to focus on our work, not
disturb others, be good listeners, and have a good attitude. Also we will
give our best effort on all of our work, even if it is just a practice. We
will treat others the way we want to be treated, and strive to have fun.
Lastly, we will never give up!
