****Our school nurse and Mrs. Richards have informed us that we
can no longer have the students use hand sanitizer that contains alcohol to
wash their hands at school. I have found some hand sanitizer at Target and
H.E.B. that is alcohol free and fragrance free. We will be using it at times
in the classroom.
Please do not send any hand sanitizer with your child to school that contains
alcohol. I would be happy to accept any donations of non-alcohol based hand
cleaner for our classroom. We are trying to do our best to keep everyone safe
and healthy in first grade!****

*****Parents,
Please remember to keep you child at home if they are sick. The district
policy is that they are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing
medication, before returning to school. A fever is any temperature over
100. This policy can be found in the student handbook, on the district
website, and the Laurel Mountain website.
In addition, if your student is diagnosed with flu they must remain out for 7
days or until fever free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. Please call the
school nurse at 464-4305 if your student is diagnosed with the flu.
We want to do everything we can to keep our students healthy during the flu
season! Please call us if you have any questions.
Thank you!
