The Parent Room
 
The Parent Room (210) is a space set aside for YOU!  It can be used for meetings, workshops and workspace, as well as a source of parenting and district information.  We have a collection of parenting books, CDs, and DVDs available for checkout.
 
District provides workshops for Spanish-Speaking Parents
Please help us spread the word … RRISD has once again begun offering Spanish-speaking parent workshops titled "Conversations of Hope" as a way to provide information on a variety of issues such as attendance laws, dropout prevention, the RRISD school system, the University Leadership Initiative, and many other topics in Spanish. The group meets every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the RRHS 700 building teachers lounge; no RSVP is necessary.  For more information, parents can contact Stela Holcombe, Parent Support Specialist at Stony Point High School, or contact the workshop facilitator, Maria Rosas Garcia, directly at 428-7984.
