Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Cool Cats Class! I am very excited about this coming
school year! Third grade is such a fun learning environment, full of many
new experiences that will inspire, challenge and reward your child.
This will be my eleventh year teaching third grade at Laurel
Mountain, and my 16th year teaching. Prior to teaching at Laurel Mountain, I
taught for five years in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I love the excitement of children and their willingness and happiness
to learn. Offering an environment where children learn not only academic
skills, but also learn the necessary tools to becoming more independent with
their learning, and being a productive member of a team are lessons that I
incorporate into my teaching. I approach every day with high expectations
for every child, structure and a sense of humor.
I have been married to Paul for almost 27 years and we have a 19
year old son, Zack. Zack is in his 2nd year of college and working at
Academy. We have an adorable golden retriever, Roxie.
I’m excited to embrace your child’s talents, interests, needs,
personality and academic enrichment for the next nine months! We are going to
have a great year!
