About The Teacher
Ms. DeJong graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in elementary education and a minor in physical education. She taught for 5 years at Central Elementary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She received her masters degree in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. This is her third year at Live Oak Elementary!

The mission of the Live Oak Library is to ensure staff and students have intellectual and physical access to a wide range of materials, to provide instruction that helps students to become effective consumers of information, and to collaborate with teachers to meet the needs of individual students.
