I am so excited to be at Lockhart High School. I am a native to Lockhart
and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1999. I attended Texas State
University where I received my degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and a
minor in Business Administration. I recently completed my second degree in
Marketing Education and this will be my fifth year teaching and
coaching. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter named Peyton and my son,
Preston, is 8 months old.
I have tumbled and danced since I was three years old and had the honor to
serve four years on the Lockhart Lionettes and as an officer my senior
year. I have professionally performed for numerous sporting events such as
basketball games with the Dallas Mavericks, Chicago Bulls and the San
Antonio Spurs; in addition I have also performed at the Cotton Bowl Halftime
Performance, New York Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Pittsburg Holiday
Parade. I continued dancing through college as a Texas State Strutter where
I traveled the United States and participated in numerous televised events
and ceremonies.
I have coached cheerleading for many years and can’t wait to see
how much we can grow and achieve this year as a team. I look forward to a
wonderful year of hard work, commitment and dedication to each other, the
school and the community.
The following goals are for the 2008-2009 school year.
1. Create an environment where the team members create lasting friendships
and commitment to themselves, the team and to the community.
2. Have every member of the LHS Cheerleading Program enrolled at Central
Cheer for Tumbling.
3. Defend and maintain our National Championship Division 1 ranking at
Competition.
4. Remodel the mat room so it is functional for cheerleading, tumbling and
stunting.
5. Above all, have FUN and ENJOY being a LHS Cheerleader!
