| Congratulations to the 2008 Lockhart High School DECA State Competitors.
DECA sponsors, Amber Crabill and Vonda Willis, are pleased to announce that
Rebecca Gregg, Travis Tolley, Jenee Burrhus-Clay and Paul Juarez competed
and represented Lockhart High School with pride and honor.
Travis Tolley and Paul Juarez competed at District Competition in February
and qualified to represent Texas at State Competition in Corpus Christi in
Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making. They showed great team work
as they role played and competed against hundreds of qualifiers.
Rebecca Gregg and Jenee Burrhus-Clay also qualified at District Competition
and were able to advance to State in the area of Business Service
Marketing. This event is an individual event where they complete two role
plays and a test over their subject area. Each girl demonstrated true
commitment and dedication.
The DECA sponsors, Amber Crabill and Vonda Willis, want to thank these
individuals for the months of hard work and after school practices that
prepared them to represent themselves, the school and the community at the
2008 DECA State Competition in Corpus Christi. We look forward in following
the tradition of excellence and seeing DECA grow at Lockhart High School.
