2007-2008 CHEERLEADING BANQUET:
April 6th at the Fountains Reception Hall from 6-9 p.m.
Meal/Entertainment Tickets are $10.00 a person.  You must have a ticket to 
come to the banquet.  TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE!  E-Mail me and I will reserve 
your spot!

TUMBLING CLASS:  
If you are interested in trying out for the LHS Cheerleading Squads and you 
would like to gain/improve you gymnastics skills then CENTRAL CHEER is for 
you!  The Lockhart High School Cheerleading Program has a contract with 
Central Cheer for tumbling class.  You may call and get put in the class and 
start building your skills before tryouts.  Please call (512) 353-4380 to 
reserve your spot!

MANDATORY CHEERLEADING MEETING FOR TRYOUTS:
April 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the LHS Conference Center

We will discuss the practice schedule for tryouts, cost for the year, 
fundraising and the constitution.  If you are interested in trying out you 
MUST attend the meeting and get the information packet and register for 
tryouts.  

PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR TRYOUTS:
Monday, April 14th through Wednesday, April 17th Practice in the New Gym 
from 4-6 p.m.

Thursday, April 17th will be mock tryouts where the girls will draw their 
numbers for tryouts and run through the entire tryout procedure.  

Friday, April 18th will be TRYOUTS for the 2008-2009 Cheerleading Squads.

Freshman Squad - 12 Members
Junior Varsity Squad - 12 Members
Varsity Squad - 16 Members 

Tryouts will begin at 4:00 p.m. - No parents are allowed into the gym area 
during tryouts.  You may wait outside in the lobby of the New Gym to 
visit with them once they have finished.

MANDATORY MEETING FOR ALL 2008-2009 CHEERLEADERS:
Once you have made the team we will be holding fittings for uniforms on 
Monday, April 21st in the LHS Conference Center at 6:30 p.m.

DATES TO REMEMBER:
Practice will begin on Monday, May 5th.  Practice is every Monday and 
Wednesday of the week in the mat room at LHS from 4-6 p.m.

Wednesday, May 14th - Parent/Cheerleader Meeting with Creeds and Crests in 
the Conference Center at 6:30 p.m. for camp clothes and accessories fitting.

Friday, May 23rd - 2008 Powder Puff Football Game (The 2008-2009 
Cheerleaders will be hosting this event)

Saturday, June 14th - CTR Parade.  Meet at the float by 7:30 a.m.

Thursday, July 24th through Sunday, July 27th - 2008 South Texas Camp at the 
University of Texas in Austin.  Camp is MANDATORY - if you do not attend 
camp then you may not be a cheerleader.
