This is my 21st year of teaching. I was born and raised in Latin America
(Panama,Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras) and grew up speaking both English
and Spanish. I received a B.A.S.S. (Bachelor of Arts Select Student) with a
double major in Spanish and English from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches,
Texas. My student teaching experience was at Escuela Internacional
Sampedrana, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. My entire teaching career has been
in Lockhart. I like teaching here because I get to know families and people
in the community.
I am married and have 4 children and 1 grandchild. My oldest daughter
Jamilla is in her 3rd year of medical school. Angela is a senior at Texas
State (exercise and sports science)and Julian is a senior at Campbell
University in North Carolina studying trust management. Roseanna lives in
San Francisco. My family has lived in Lytton Springs since 1984.
I enjoy traveling and reading.
Spanish III PreAP will refine and expand Spanish proficiency in writing and
speaking as well as study culture and literature.
Spanish IV AP will prepare students for the AP Spanish Language test and
focus on listening, speaking, writing and advanced grammar. This course is
taught at the university level as mandated by AP rules. Students must be
prepared to do the work required. The class will be conducted in Spanish.
