For this class you will need to have a binder, paper and
pencil. Do not come to class without these things.

At the end of every 6 and 9 weeks I will check your notebook for a test
grade.
The sections of the notebook are as follows:
1. Journal- Every day we do a Journal at the beginning of class. I will
walk around and check journals daily. I will be grading journals every 3
weeks for a test grade. Completion and originality will determine the
grades.
2. Vocabulary- At the beginning of each chapter, students write the
vocabulary words. This helps them to recognize the words when we review
them and use them in lessons.
3. Grammar WS/Notes - Any worksheets or notes we do in class will go in this
section.
4. Culture/Projects - Any projects that you DO get back will go in this
section. Also culture readings or classwork that has to do with culture
goes
here. For example, the questions over 16 de septiembre.
5. Tests- When or if you get a test back, put it in this section.

When I grade your notebook it needs to be neat (no papers falling out, no
wrinkled papers that you discovered at the bottom of your backpack). I will
be looking for certain papers (students will not know which ones, so keep
EVERYTHING)I will also use this time to count your stamps in order to apply
extra points to you final average (only for the 9 week check).

I can not stress enough how important it is that you keep a notebook for the
class. Your notebook needs to only contain papers for this Spanish II class.
If there is no way you can get a notebook let me know. We need to talk
about this!!

Thanks,
Ms. Rangel
