This month in math classes, we will begin looking at a few eighth-grade
concepts to prepare you for next school year. This week, we will learn how to
estimate the value of irrational numbers (numbers that do not have a square root).
This month in pre-algebra classes, we will begin looking at solving equations
algebraically. This week, we will begin by reviewing the rules for adding,
subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers. The remainder of the week
will be devoted to solving one and two-step equations by using inverse operations.
Both classes will be given a test over the week's material on Friday.
