 FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
  1. Is every assignment used for a grade?
  2. Does my child have the opportunity to correct a failed test grade?
  3. May my child retest if he/she receives a poor grade?
--------------------------------------

Is every assignment used for a grade?

No. Every assignment is used for a tool of learning or a review for
learning, but not necessarily a specific grade. Each assigment is equally
important to insure the student's success in Language Arts.

Does my child have the opportunity to correct a failed test grade?

Yes. Tests may be corrected and returned no later than two days after they
are handed back to the student to receive a better grade. Students who do
not pass tests will be required to retest for a possible 100 or correct
their test to receive up to a 75.

--------------------------------------

May my child retest if he/she receives a poor grade?

This is entirely between the student and the teacher and determined on an
individual basis. The student is responsible for communicating with the
teacher his/her desire to retest and reasons for the retest. A retest will
not always be guaranteed.
