Why is it important to study the grammar notes?

The eight parts of speech need to be memorized, much like multiplication
tables. These parts of speech form the foundation for learning the other
parts of grammar.

Why do we copy assignments into the planner?

The student should copy their assignment into their planner when they come
to class. If the information is in the planner the student can refer to it
at home to remind them of things due in class. Also, it serves as a means
of communication between parent and teacher.

Why does my child have to read within his/her reading level?

Upon completion of the STAR test each child is given a reading level. The
student must stay within this reading level as that is the level that the
student's reading practice will be most efficient. If a student is reading
at the highest level in his/her reading level and consistently makes a 90 or
above on the quizzes for the books at that level then I will adjust the
level to suit the reading needs of the student.
