Homework

Reading-
Students are required to read an AR book for 30 minutes every night. To
ensure that your child is actively engaged in reading, please ask them what
book they are reading and have them give you a short summary over what they
read each evening. In addition, check their reading log daily to be sure
they are documenting their reading. By working hand-in-hand with you, I
think your child will become a strong avid reader.

Grammar-
This year we will be using the Grammar Voyage curriculum. Your child will
record all of their notes in their 3-subject notebook. Please refer to your
child’s planner or notebook to see what skill we are learning each week.

Ceasar’s English-
Ceasar’s English is our vocabulary curriculum this year. We will complete
one lesson each week and have a test every Thursday. The tests are
cummulative, so please make sure your child continues to study thier words
and stems from previous weeks. All the Ceasar’s English stems and
vocabulary terms we learn each week are located in the back of the 3-subject
spiral.

Social Studies-
All projects and daily work is done in class. Students will only have
homework if they did not complete their classwork and then they will need to
finish the remainder of it at home. Projects and tests are considered major
grades!
