When are Vocabulary Tests?

Vocabulary tests will begin the week of September 10th.  The vocabulary will 
come from a program called Caesar's English, which focuses on Latin stems.  
The tests will be every Thursday and are cummulative.  These will be located 
in the 3rd section of their LA Spiral and they will make flashcards in 
class.  If they keep up with their flashcards, they will recieve bonus 
points on the test!

When is Homework due?

Normally, homework will be reading for 30 minutes per night, Monday through 
Thursday.  They record the pages that they read at home in their reading 
logs each morning when they come to class.  It may be a good idea to jot the 
pages that they read in their planners for that day.

What are reading logs?

Reading logs are an account of the reading that your child does INSIDE and 
OUTSIDE of my classroom.  This may include pages read in other classes, on 
the bus, or over the weekend.  Students must have 40 pages of OUTSIDE   
reading recorded on this log to get full credit.  They may do it all in one 
night, or spread it out over the week.
