About The Teacher
Hi! Welcome to my website. You already know my name is Mrs. Coker, please allow me to tell you a little more about myself. I graduated summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BS in Mathematics. My first teaching job was teaching summer school at Alexander-Smith Academy in Houston, Texas. My first full time teaching job was at Spring Forest Middle School in Spring Branch ISD also in Houston, Texas. I taught at Spring Forest for five years. I taught every 8th grade math course they offered (including Algebra I and Geometry) during my time there. My next teaching job was at Mayde Creek High School in Katy ISD in Katy, Texas. In my 8 years at Mayde Creek, I taught Algebra I Block, Algebra I Regular, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus. I also was a Cross Country and Track coach for two years. Now I am in a most wonderful school. Four years ago, my family moved to Montgomery, Texas. I was very fortunate to be hired here at Montgomery Middle School--a 6th grade only campus. The kids are great! The faculty and staff are great!! It is a wonderful place to be. :-)
