What is a database?

A database is an Internet site which allows you to access print resources (articles from periodicals, ie. 
magazines and newspapers) as well as chapters from books and entries in reference works through the 
Internet. EBSCO is an example of a database available to the AISD community.

What is a search engine?

A search engine is an Internet site that allows you to search for websites according to key word 
searches. Google and Nettrekker are examples of search engines.

It dramatically improves all literacy skills, including reading comprehension, spelling, vocabulary, and
