Ms. Stevenson is looking forward to beginning her sixth year here at O.
Henry. Before becoming a school librarian, she worked as a high school
English teacher. She loves reading and wants to find the right book to fit
each individual student at O. Henry. Her goal is to "convert" students into
lifelong readers.
Mrs. Lum has been the library assistant at O. Henry for fifteen years now.
Her attention to detail, friendly manner, and expertise are invaluable to the
library program.

The O. Henry library strives to be the heart of the school community. Through
providing high interest titles in multiple genres, the library encourages
students to become pleasure readers, thereby increasing students' literacy
skills as they entertain themselves. The library also provides access to a
variety of resources, including the Internet, databases, and reference works.
The librarian teaches research skills and works closely with students and
teachers, enabling them to make the most of these resources available to all.
