We finished our mystery tadpole transformation and began learning the basic
elements of LEAP, which is the acronym FEFO (Fluency, Elaboration,
Flexibility, and Originality). We put this and the definition of each in our
LEAP journal. We will take each element separately and work on examples of
each. This is the foundation of what most things we do in LEAP revolve
around. It IS creative thinking!
We started with reading Kate and the Beanstalk (more original than Jack!). We
took the book and came up with different examples of FEFO in the book. Next
week we will finish with originality on the book by inventing and
illustrating a different way for "Kate" to have gotten to the giant's house.
We will also integrate FEFO into a lesson about Rainbows.
