We finished our life size wild things and will complete our writing
assignment to go with it next week.
We will continue our novel study of The Whangdoodle and illustrate from our
minds what Whangdoodle land looks like including some of the crazy characters
we have learned about.
We will begin learning about a creative technique called SCAMPER- (substitue,
combine, adjust, Modify(magnify and minify), Put to other uses, Eliminate and
Reverse or Rearrange.)SCAMPER games assist students in maintaining and
improving their imaginative ability by providing an opportunity to learn and
practice idea-getting techniques and ways to solve a variety of problems.
Creative imagination is the ability to form unique and original mental images
and one way to do this through SCAMPERING activities.
Rearranging and manipulating information that is drawn from our memory.
Existing knowledge and experience provides the material to be manipulated in
the quest for new and original images. Fun!
