Students were given a checklist of what needed to be complete before our next
class on Monday after Thanksgiving. Their hot air balloon cartoons need to be
finished, their "island planning sheet", map rough draft of island and at
least two of the house organizers for 2 paragraphs of the persuasive island
paper. This is just an organizer, rough draft. We will complete those and
edit on Monday Nov.30 and work on final copies. We should almost, if not
completely, finish our island project by end of class on Thursday Dec. 3.
We will go over our research project also and begin some basic researching
activities to warm up. Students have already decided what notetaking
organizer they will use. We are following the "Big 6" as our research model.
