We Are Having a Blast in APE (Adapted Physical Education)!!! We are having a blast in APE this first 9 weeks of school and working on the following items: 1. Locomotor skills (running, galloping, sliding, and jumping) 2. Object Control skills (throwing and catching) 3. Balance Activities (walking on stilts) 4. Body Identification (hair, head, eyes, nose, tummy/belly/stomach, arms, hands, knees, feet, toes, legs, chin, fingers, and elbows) 5. Cooperative Skills (learning to share and take turns) 6. Responding Appropriately to starting and stopping signals (music on and off, red/green light) 7. Pre Academic Skills (Counting) 8. Proper use of Equipment (Hula hoops, pool noodles, scarves, bean bags, and minature bowling set) 9. Focus on Transportation (Activities involving cars, boats, trains, bicycles, and planes!) I look forward to a wonderful year ahead with your little one!
