Me in My World

September - December

To encourage reading for pleasure as a habit.

1. Read to your parents (or let them read to you) 20 minutes every day.
2. For every 20-minute session your parents read to you or you read to them, write the date on the blank next to a smiling child in your "Me in My World" booklet. Color the smiling child next to that blank.
3. After you have "dated" all 5 of the smiling children (after you have read for 100 minutes), ask your parents to sign for that group of smiling children in your "Me in My World" booklet.
4. Bring your "Me in My World" booklet to the library and receive a prize for the group of smiling children you just finished coloring.
5. No more than 1 smiling child may be colored each day, maximum of 7 each week.
6. Bring your booklet to the library as soon as you complete each group of smiling children.  (Don't wait until the booklet is finished to bring it to the library. Let us congratulate you at each level.  We will give no more than 2 prizes each time you come to the library.)
