New policy on portfolios-
This year student work will not remain in
portfolios for the duration of the school year, so you can look forward to
art coming home while excitement levels are high! Student sketchbooks which
we refer to as “Visual Journals” will serve to take the place of the
portfolios’ intended purposes: to help develop student reflection, critical
thinking, a sense of process, and responsibility for learning and growing.
Note: Some work may be held temporarily to be celebrated and displayed in the
halls of OTE, on our Art webpages, and in district and community showcases
throughout the year!
