Recorder Karate
Students may play songs from the Recorder Karate program to earn belts for their recorder. The last 10 minutes of class will be set aside for students to play for belts. Student may move through the Recorder Karate program at their own pace. Practicing at home to learn these special songs shows that a student is going “above and beyond” the standard expectations for music class.
Materials: Students should bring recorders, a folder from home and Recorder Karate books to each music class. Students will be given copies of songs they may practice at home along with their Recorder Karate books.
Recorder Rules: Students have been asked not to play their recorders in other parts of the school or on the bus. Students are encouraged to practice at appropriate times at home.
