Meet Mrs. Vasquez

Hi! My name is Lorraine Vasquez and I am so excited to be your child's teacher! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of your child's life. Besides being a mom, being an educator is a dream come true. I really have a passion for teaching and sharing my love of learning with others. I am blessed to be working for such a great school district but even more so, for being a part of the Paul W. Ott Staff. We are all so lucky to be at such a "Toadally Ottsome" school. As you may have noticed my classroom is full of frogs! The frogs remind me and my students to leap into learning with excitement and enthusiasm. I have high expectations for my students and I look forward to working as partners to see them all succeed!

I collect frogs and LOVE coffee! To relax I love to bake and read. But one of my very favorite things to do is just spend time playing with my kids. I love sports and I am a big NFL fan. During football season, on Sundays you can find me on the couch (with my cup of coffee Ü ) cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins!

I have been married to my wonderful husband Greg for 18 years. He is a Bexar County Deputy but spends a lot of time at Ott volunteering and mentoring.  We have two incredible children. My son, Jake, comes to Ott with me and is in the 5th grade. Isabella (a.k.a Bella) is in the 8th grade and attends Vale Middle School where she plays volleyball. Both my husband and I feel it is very important to be involved in our children's education and school life and hope to make a difference, in not only in our own children’s lives but every child we meet.

I look forward to working with you and  your child

on our journey to great success!
