Greetings OLS Family,
It is with great pleasure that I have joined the wonderful OLS teaching
staff full time this year. I look foward to working with your children!
My musical life began at the age of 4. Ever since I can remember, I have
sat at the piano, sang, and danced. I have studied from some of the
greatest Piano instuctors, Mrs. Alice V. Stone, Mrs. Eugene McMullen, Dr.
Choy, and Dr. Dahlia Guerra. It is because of my wonderful experience as
their student that I chose Music as my career.
I studied at the University of Texas-Pan American where I received my BA in
Music Education. I have taught with the Roma School District as a Band
Director, and with the Edinburg District as a Music Teacher for 12 yrs. I
have also obtained a MA in Guidance in Counseling.......but it is Music that
is my passion.
I hope to inspire all my students with the gift of MUSIC....

The children will enjoy music through singing, playing instruments,
movement, and dancing. They will understand the theory of what makes
Music. They will appreciate different styles of music. They will learn to
express themselves through music creativity by composing their own work.
