Writing Across the Content Areas: Biographic Sketch
( Guidelines for writing a biographic sketch will be discussed on Monday-
November 30.)
Choose one from the following suggested activities:
1. Write about someone you know who works in a science-related field such as
medicine, gardening, or astronomy.
2. Interview and write about a grandparent- yours or someone else's -who
has an interesting job or hobby, or who has traveled to faraway places.
3. Choose a person from history that you admire. Write about people and
events in his or her childhood that influenced who that person became.
