Reflections Writing Contest
Students across the district are invited to participate in the 2010 Black History Month Writing Contest. Students may enter a submission of either a research paper or prose (1,000 words or less), slide show presentation, poetry, play, video (script must be included), or drawing (kindergarten and first grade only).

The theme for 2010 is “Reflections: A Mirror Into Black History.” Entries will be broken down into categories: Kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades, middle school and high school. All entries must have an official entry form attached and received  to me by Tuesday February 2.
Winners will be notified on Monday, Feb. 15 and the top two winners from each category will be presented at the Black History Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 27. First place in each category will receive $50 and second place will receive $25. Contest Rules Entry Form
