Hi,
I'm am so excited for this up coming year! As you might know, I will be
new to Sommer, however not to RRISD. I have been in the district since 2006
at Forest Creek Elementary. There I had the honor to work with Mark Pratz &
Katie Holding. They were such wonderful administrators that I soon had to
follow. Prior to that I taught at Castle Rock Elementary in Castle Rock,
Colorado.
Though I have lived in several cities in the US, I'm actually from Katy,
Texas. I grew up there when there were dirt roads and football. I have 8
siblings whom mostly live there now. I love coming from a large family and
hope to have one myself!
As for here in Austin... My husband, Kevin, and I got married June 2008
on Lake Travis . Kevin is an engineer and plays violin with the Round Rock
Symphony. We have two labs - Aspen Girl & Lady McKenzie. I'm sure you will
hear these names often. Now we are moving into a new chapter of our life. We
are expecting our 1st little baby boy -Knoxdale-to be here soon! When I'm
not teaching, I can been found anywhere outdoors. I love to boat, hike,
wakeboard, relax with a good book, and spend time with my family.
Teaching has always been such a exciting adventure and rewarding career.
I enjoy guiding our little ones along their path in life as their minds
expand and grow in whole new ways! I can't wait to get started! See you soon!
