My name is Ginna Wimmer and I was born in Austin, Texas. I graduated from
the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors degree in Education with
a reading endorsement. I taught 3rd grade at Brauchle Elementary in San
Antonio. I went back to UT to get my Masters in Library and Information
Science. I've been a librarian for 14 years. I have two beautiful children,
Laura (10) and Logan (8).
The mission of the Sommer Elementary Library is to promote reading and a
love of learning. The Sommer librarian and library assistant provide
instruction, collaborate with the faculty and ensure library access to all
students with various needs.
